Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], September 6 (ANI): Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, on Saturday, hailed the coordination between the Air Force, Navy and Army during Operation Sindoor at the passing out ceremony of the officer cadets in Chennai.
Addressing the graduating officers of the Short Service Commission at the Indian Army’s Officers Training Academy, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh said, “Operation Sindoor has showcased exceptional coordination between the three services, synergy and integration within the armed forces and other agencies. You must keep furthering the spirit of jointness as you grow in service.”
At least 26 people were killed in the Pahalgam terror attack in April of this year, following which India launched Operation Sindoor. India conducted precision strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) and repelled subsequent Pakistani aggression and pounded its airbases.
Additionally, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh expressed confidence in the training of the graduating cadets and wished them well for their future.
“I am confident that your training has equipped you with the knowledge, skill and discipline required to excel as officers and leaders… My heartfelt gratitude to the proud parents and relatives of the graduating officer course. As your rock-solid support has enabled them to achieve their dreams, your sacrifice and trust have been and will remain instrumental in their success. The nation and the Indian Armed Forces are forever indebted to you for your sacrifice,” the Air Chief said.
“Wear your uniform with pride and purpose, lead from the front and always remember the core values taught to you by your parents, as these will be your guiding beacons to navigate through the career as well as life. Always remember, we are first human beings, then citizens and thereafter soldiers. Therefore, always strive to be a good human being,” he added.
A total of 130 Officer Cadets and 25 Officer Cadets (Women) were commissioned into various Arms and Services of the Indian Army, embodying the spirit of duty and sacrifice. Additionally, nine Foreign Officer Cadets and Twelve Foreign Officer Cadets (Women) from nine friendly foreign countries successfully completed their training, fostering bonds of camaraderie and cooperation across international borders.
